Las Vegas half-marathon (2:29:03); Bryce Canyon half-marathon (2:18:39) 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Continue to run relatively consistently (3-4 times/wk). Run 5 miles as a comfortable distance.

Run faster (8-9 min/mile) and increase trail running ability. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay in shape to prevent diabetes, high BP, osteoporosis. Run enough to support my mexican food habit!

Walked at the Capital high track with Arby.

Walked 5 and ran 1.5 on the greenbelt with Arby. I wasn't supposed to run per Dr's orders, but it was getting dark and we wanted to get back to see the Boise Hawks' fireworks display. It was a respectable show with what appeared to be a huge fireball in the middle.

Walked around the Capital high track with LC while studying for the surgery final. Our last day of the didactic year is in ONE MONTH!!!!

Walked on the greenbelt with Arby. We saw a bird do a dive bomb into a pond right next to a duck, and then later on a branch just fell off a tree for no good reason.

Ran 2 and walked 3.25. Today the surgeon told me that he didn't think my meniscus was necessarily torn and I could postpone surgery until finishing PA school if I want to. Decisions, decisions.

Walked on the greenbelt with Arby. Followed with 2x10 pushups, 50 side leg lifts and crunches, 10 scissors. I need to build up some strength.

Walked around neighborhoods with Arby. Followed up with 100 crunches, 50 each side leg lifts and forward leg lifts, and 20 pushups. The weather was lower 80's and felt GREAT!!!

Walked on the greenbelt with Arby. It's still 91 degrees at 10:14 pm. HOT!!!Also I saw a river otter hanging out on a rock.

Walked on the green belt with Arby. Today I dipped my feet in the Boise river and it was pretty cold, but felt good since we were at the end of our walk.

Walked with Arby on the greenbelt. The temperature was comfortable and we stopped to skip rocks on one of the little lakes. I could only get 2 skips and only 2 times.

Walked 4.5 on the greenbelt tonight with Arby. I tried to skip a rock tonight and it went 3 skips.
